Waiting to be found

By L. Stewart Marsden

I’m here.
Right here.
Waiting to be found.
Waiting to be discovered –
Uncovered.
Exposed to the light.
Unearthed and unleashed.
Freed and liberated.
Un-inhiberated.
Unshackled.
Free to be me
and more . . .
Loosed from the abhorrence of
limited minds,
who seek to remind
and limit
and squash the imagination
of individuals and nations
who soar
and more, then leave behind
those who choose to stay
in the dust and the place
where they first began life
and opt to not strive
to become something more.

Liked this one very much…probably because I’ve always wanted to be something…more.

Ah, the plight of us all. Whenever will we learn that the potential of us far exceeds that of the proverbial
greener pastures we think are over the fence?
