Looking For My Muse

Looking For My Muse
by L. Stewart Marsden

I’ve been looking for my Muse
Who’s been hiding out of sight;
Searching high, and searching low
and well into the night.

Peeking behind crannies,
down hallways, dark and long,
calling out most frantic’ly
afraid my Muse has gone!

“Come out! Come out!” I beg and plea
And hope my Muse will hear
Then acquiesce, step in the light,
And suddenly appear.

My shouts and calls bring no response,
And I am not amused;
These hiding tactics anger me —
I’m feeling quite abused.

Muse abuse — that’s what it is!
Then, finally I see
My muse who’s chuckling over there
Walks up, embraces me.

      Thank YOU, Mukha, for visiting my blog and your very kind comment. Inspiration is something you pass on, so you can bet I’ve been inspired by others during my long life. Go and inspire!
